We live in an age, where keeping our skin soft, supple and fresh, is a challenge. Staying inside is no more a safe bet,as the air is polluted. And, if you are among those who have to go out on a regular basis, God save you! Skin Type is changing with the frantic weather and the unhealthy life choices. 1 in every 2 girls have sensitive skin. I will not lie if I say that I am guilty of the same. I have super vulnerable skin, which is dry in the winter but an oil mine in the summer and rains, with rashes popping out here and there. I have to be very picky about the products I use. In my bid to get the best skin care products for sensitive skin, I have tried and tested various and finally made a list. Let me share with you all.
Kaya Skin Clinic Face Cleanser for sensitive Skin
Before you blindly buy any face cleansing product, you have to remember that Foam is one of the deadliest enemies for those, with sensitive skin. Not only does it snatch away the natural oil from your skin, but also leaves behind some residue. I find this particular product from Kaya Skin Clinic absolutely amazing as it's completely sulphate free, thus leaving no residues behind.
The absence of any artificial fragrance makes me feel that it is more on the herbal side. After the first application, my skin felt refreshed and visibly brighter. A special round of applaud for removing even my smoky eye make up.
Himalaya Soothing Baby Wipes Sensitive Skin
Himalaya Soothing Facial Wipes are an amazing discovery. Besides completing absorbing the oil from your skin, they are extremely effective in makeup removal. So a little pinch of colors left here and there across your face will no more give you zits. All you need is to wipe your face after every 2 hours, and feel as fresh as morning.
The lotus extract soothes the skin, and I can actually feel my skin breathing after every wipe. But do not rub hard. You do not want to damage your adipose tissue, do you! Brownie Point for being extremely travel friendly. I never forget to carry one during my long flights.
Thalgo Immediate Bio Soothing Mask
I started using Thalgo products some 2 years back. I find their range of masks amazing, especially this Bio Soothing Mask. It serves what it promises. Every weekend, I put on the mask and sit for half an hour.
The cooling sensation is so relaxing that you may even doze off to sleep. The mask also restores supply of oxygen to your skin to give you a hydrated feel and the hot rashes are much cured. Brownie points for being totally herbal, no paraben or sulphates.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner
A toner is a must in the purse of all women with sensitive skin. It is the open pores, which attracts dirt and dust, that leads to pimples and acnes. A toner helps to close the pore and extract out the dirt stuck inside. A toner with tea tree extracts is an added advantage. Tea Tree is officially the restorative herb that fights acne and skin inflammatory conditions.
When The Body Shop came up with this product, I just could not control my temptation. Ladies, after daily usage at night, after removal of makeup and in the morning, before applying makeup, I have a zit-less skin. The bigger bumps have totally vanished, and even with their marks.
The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Cream (night + day)
These two creams from The Body Shop range are my daily companions. The first thing that attracted me to these products are the absence of chemical preservatives and the no-alcohol tag. The second USP is the presence of aloe vera, which is recommended by all doctors, for their healing properties.
Together, the creams work like magic. I use the day cream as a base for my foundation, as it moisturizes my face thoroughly. The night cream is to be used after removal of all make up. Brownie points for the cooling sensation and a charged up skin.
Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 60+
This sunscreen lotion from Neutrogena tops my list for the best skin care products for the sensitive skin. Although I apply it at the end of my skin nourishment routine, after cleansing and moisturizing, but I never step out without it. What makes this lotion so special? It has zinc oxide, which is absolutely effective in acne reduction and skin problem treatment.
Again, the absence of an artificial fragrance make me believe in it even more. And the best part is that it is oil-free and water proof. So, I don't have to worry about my sun protection lotion melting under the strong rays.
A liitle extra advice: Avoid hard scrubs, it may affect your skin even more. Increase the intake of fruits to get naturally cured of skin problems
