Miss Universe Japan 2015: Ariana Miyamoto
Miss Universe 2015: Miss Japan
Japan crowned first mixed ethnicity girl Ariana Miyamoto as Miss Japan 2015 earlier this month. With this Japan seems to be awakening from a short slumber again. This appears to be Japan’s efforts to change the course of history. As the host country of Miss International, Japan has never crowned a dark skinned girl as Miss International, sparking allegation of racism. This time they crowned a dark Miss Puerto Rico Valarie Hernandez as Miss International 2014. Now they have chosen a half black girl, born to an American father and Japanese mother as Miss Japan 2015.
The decision is right, Miss Japan Ariana Miyamoto is indeed a great choice. She has a very different look which makes her stand apart in a sea of beauties. We do expect her to be fluent in English and she will not rely on interpreters if she does reach the finals.
Miss Universe Philippines 2015: Pia Wurtzbach
Miss Universe 2015: Miss Philippines
Miss Philippines is a veteran. She was a runner up at Miss Philippines 2012. Now in her third attempt she earned the right to represent Philippines at Miss Universe this year. Many are not happy with her selection over Miss Janicel Lubina, who does have a Miss Universe prototype beauty, however that would part of a different discussion.
Miss Japan is clearly ahead as of this moment, Miss Pia Wurtzbach needs to work on her body. We are confident that her BB Filipinas will work wonders and she will a transformation story. But as of now, its Japan that leads the pack along with Indonesia from Asia.
